The concept of the shoe is based on the idea of the absence of assembly work in Rapid Manufacturing, however the shoe is designed in such a way, that it can be dismantled for the purpose of replacing parts. The different material properties within the shoe are created by constructing/layering the material in microscopic structures from two different materials. A myriad of different material properties can be created using this method.

The 2006 film Who Killed the Electric Car took a look at the government, automotive manufacturers, the oil industry, and consumers hindering the development of the electric vehicle in the 1990’s.
The EV industry is on a serious upswing, since 2006, with nearly every major car company scrambling to put out hybrid and all-electric vehicles. Enter the Revenge of the Electric Car, examining the role that automakers like Nissan, GM, and the Silicon Valley start-up Tesla Motors are playing and how they can either derail or push an EV-filled future forward.
